This little chest needed some tlc. The screws that hold the lid on are mostly rusted and had to be re-done. The holes were stripped on one hinge so I glued them into the lid.
The other hinge was missing a pin so I cut a little piece of wire from a straight pin and glued one end into the hinge.
The little drawers fit in perfectly though. I decided to make it into a toy box for the baby's room. I painted it white and scruffed it up a little. I'm looking to make some little toys to fill it later on.
